And here is the part where I am supposed to put some insightful analysis. The problem is that (a) I have a sinus infection so my brain is somewhat congested and (b) both little monsters are sick too so my wife (also sick) and I haven’t even gotten good sleep lately. That said, I will do my best.
The top looks fine. HostGator and DreamHost have been living there or close to there for a while. BlueHost and HostMonster continue their decline. I think this has more to do with sites like HostGator moving to the unlimited model than anything BH and HM are doing wrong themselves. As more players compete on the same ground, those with better reputations will eclipse those who got their first. ANHosting and MidPhase might be suffering somewhat from that as well, although their purchase by UK2 seems to be more the problem, given the number of complaints I’ve seen since that happened.
I’ve been meaning to give FatCow a new look for a couple of months now and its popularity this month is a good reminder for me to finally do that this month. In any case, time to run to the pediatrician’s for the elder monster. Happy Hosting!
